We do not recommend the platform we happen to know — we recommend the one that suits you, which is why we know five. Here is the whole of it: when we suggest each, and when we tell you to use something else.

Frequently asked about Website design & development
Which platform will you build my site on?
We recommend after understanding your business, not before. We work on Framer, WordPress, Shopify, Next.js and Laravel, each of which has the case it suits — and we may well recommend the cheaper one if it is the right one. The section above sets all of it out.
Do you use WordPress?
Yes, and it is an excellent choice when the content keeps changing and a non-technical team edits it. But it needs regular security updates, so if nobody on your side is prepared to keep up with them, we will either recommend a build that needs no ongoing maintenance or handle it ourselves on a monthly retainer.
I have a site — will I lose my Google ranking if I change it?
Not if the migration is done properly. Ranking is most often lost by launching a new site on different URLs with no redirects, which is exactly what we avoid: we point every old URL at its new counterpart, keep the pages that actually earn traffic, and measure before and after so you can see for yourself.
Are the domain and hosting in my name?
In yours. We register the domain for you and hand over every access on launch day. We will host it on our servers if you want, and you can move the site to any other provider whenever you like, without our permission and without a fee.
How long does a site take?
A brochure site is usually four to six weeks; larger sites or ones with custom systems, eight to twelve. On Framer a brochure site can launch in days. The timeline depends heavily on how quickly stages are approved and how ready your content is.
Do I own the site outright?
Yes. The code, the content, the domain and the hosting are all in your name, and we hand over every access at launch along with documentation that lets any later developer continue. You are not obliged to stay with us afterwards.
What if I need changes after launch?
Simple edits you make yourself from the dashboard. For larger work we agree a monthly retainer or work by the hour, whichever suits you.
Do you write the content?
Yes, we have a content writer on the team. If you already have copy we review it and prepare it for the web; if you do not, we write it with you.
